Seminars

Seminars

Seminars and workshops need to be tailored to the people seeking the information. Some seminars and workshops have a universal appeal but the information often lacks applicability to a particular setting. It is helpful to survey the participants as well as those sending the participants as to the nature of the information being sought. I like to present on topics that I feel meet a direct need. My style often involves the audience. The most important result of any seminar or workshop is that the persons attending take home something that they will change in themselves or in one of their settings whether it is home or school or work. I enjoy the process of others changing and growing.

I provide seminars that deal with the following issues as well as others:

  • Individualized
  • Unique stress
  • How to resolve conflicts
  • Situational communication
  • Specific work issues
  • School issues
  • Peer conflicts
  • Building a team
  • Motivational
  • Relationship
  • Marriage

Types of Seminars

Individualized

Seminars are better if they are tailored as much as possible to the group needing information. Topics of seminars and workshops take on the uniqueness of the group. Some groups want to learn problem identification skills. Other groups may want to learn how to listen to each other more effectively. A third group may need help in discussing how to talk together about bringing a product into production.

If you want to educate yourself and your staff/employees in some way but are not sure of the topic, give me a call. I will help you decide what might help. If I can’t provide the workshop myself or with my team, I will find you someone that can.

Situational Communication

This topic, which includes listening skills, is the most important topic to present to further progress and profitability in a place of work. Most problems include a communication or listening deficit. We believe we do these effectively. Unfortunately, most of us do not listen without serious wrong assumptions as to what we heard. We assume too much and therefore, our communication back will miss its target.

This workshop needs to be geared to the deficits and specifics of the group attending. A pre-survey is warranted. This helps shape the body of the presentation. You will like this presentation. Call me.

School Issues

Dealing with school issues is vital to the success of a school’s goal of educating others. It may take outside help in dealing with the more difficult problems such as:

  • Poor staff morale
  • Continued motivation of staff
  • Difficult conflict resolution
  • New ideas treating difficult behaviors
  • Consultation on difficult staff
  • Inner department conflict
  • Personal coaching with higher administration
  • Problems within the student body
